Together for 250 is a free, nonpartisan, business-led campaign that invites companies to help mark America’s 250th anniversary with purpose, leadership, and connection.
Participation begins by signing a simple pledge or writing a Birthday Letter to America, and continues at whatever level makes sense for your organization.
Led by Business for America (BFA), Together for 250 brings together companies and associations that want to lift up the American story and demonstrate leadership during a milestone year—by engaging employees, supporting communities, and contributing to a more connected national moment.
America’s 250th anniversary is more than a date on the calendar. It’s a shared moment that will be noticed by employees, customers, and communities nationwide.
Together for 250 offers business a clear, responsible way to show up.
By joining Together for 250, you become part of a growing coalition of leaders committed to marking this milestone with intention — and help shape what the business community stands for at this moment in history.
This campaign gives companies a widely welcomed, nonpartisan way to participate in the 250th anniversary with meaning, optimism, and connection.
Joining the campaign signals that your company is choosing to lead — to publicly recognize this milestone and be part of a broader effort focused on trust, connection, and shared purpose.
By joining, you receive:

There is no single “right” way to participate. Some will start small. Others will do more. All of it counts.
Participation may include engaging employees around shared values, supporting community connection, or using your voice to contribute to a constructive, forward-looking story about America's next chapter.
Together for 250 is designed to meet you where you are — and help you lead in ways that feel authentic and constructive.
If you're already investing in community engagement, civic participation, or constructive dialogue, Together for 250 provides a way to bring that work into a larger national story.
Joining will elevate what you’re already doing, connect it to a national moment, and help shape a broader business-led effort focused on trust, connection, and shared purpose.
America’s 250th is a rare moment. Whether you’re ready to sign the pledge, write a Birthday Letter to America, or simply want to learn more, we’d love to start the conversation.

A Birthday Letter to America is a campaign within Together for 250 inviting business leaders — CEOs, founders, association directors, and business owners — to write a personal letter to their employees, members, communities, and country about what America's 250th means to them. Letters may be featured in a national showcase at TF250.US/letter. Writing a letter is optional; you do not need to write one to participate in Together for 250.
No. Writing and sending your letter to your own audience is enough to participate. That said, we encourage leaders to submit their letters to our national showcase. Letters featured in the showcase are included in our late-June press release and amplified through BFA and TF250 channels.
Companies, chambers, and business organizations can join any time in 2026.
For inclusion in our coordinated national press release, letters should be submitted by June 18, 2026. Letters submitted after that date will still be featured in the national showcase at TF250.US/letter through July 4th and beyond.
A Birthday Letter to America is a strictly nonpartisan campaign. To qualify for the showcase, letters must be grounded in shared values and the role of business in civic life. The test we apply to every letter is simple:
Could any American, regardless of their political views, read this and find something worth nodding along to?
You are always free to write and send whatever you choose to your own audience. Our showcase is simply reserved for letters that belong to everyone. Detailed writing guidance and editorial standards are available to participating organizations.
